Brazilian ‘king of soccer,’ Pelé
dies at 82
The Brazilian soccer legend
and global icon Pelé died at the age of 82 on 30th Dec 2022
In late November Pelé was admitted to São Paulo hospital for a
respiratory infection and for colon cancer.
The Albert Einstein hospital said in a statement that he died of multiple organ failure.
Pelé was born Edson Arantes do Nascimento in Três Corações
Pelé helped Brazil to win 3 World Cup titles in 1958, 1962, and 1970.

Pelé's international career included 77 goals in 92 matches
